The installation process is really simple and painless: 

Software and Hardware requirements

The app is a Jira plugin (P2), therefore it shares the same resources than Jira (CPU, RAM, etc) and other 3rd party apps installed on it.

Of course, the consumption of those resources depends of a lot of variables very difficult to measure: the amount of users really using the app and their concurrency, the data in reports, etc.

There is not a simple criteria, but as rough recommendation:1 Gb of RAM extra should be available in Jira when the app is installed. 

Installation

Install the Analytics Client app available on the Markeplace

There are three apps packed as one:

The main app  is  the  Analytics Server, the analytics and BI server engine . The Analytics Client  for visualization, and the  SQL +JQL Driver  for data access, are packed within the Server as regular Jira plugins.

When the Server is installed from the Marketplace, the Client and the Driver are also automatically installed behind the scene:

Download the  kintosoft-jira-saiku-pathch.jar into the the JIRA's /WEB-INF/lib/ directory and restart JIRA in order to export charts as PNG and JPG pictures. Otherwise, users will get a 500 Internal Server Error when the export image link is clicked. This has to be done only once.

Please open the Jira > Aministration > add-ons > Manage add-ons > Analytics Server, and click on the Free trial button:

Configuration

No further configuration is required. All three apps are automatically deployed by Jira behind the scene and none of them requires any further configuration. You are done!.
