What does it mean and why you may need this?

All data from your Jira instance (issues, projects, functions, custom fields, security levels, Dashboards, filters,

etc) is a complex of data of different types (numbers, letters, etc). Organizing all this data into a relational

database, SQLC gives you an opportunity to get any data from your Jira, if you know the table name where this information is stored.

A relational database is a collection of information that organizes data in predefined relationships where data is stored in one or more tables (or "relations") of columns and rows, making it easy to see and understand how different data structures relate to each other.
