This section and all its subsections contain critical information about security, performance, engine constraints, etc that must be read before any Jira administrator or trusted user starts working with the app.

App workflow and User groups

Administrators

The main responsibility of a Jira administrator in regard to this app is selecting the TRUSTED USERS that can WRITE  SQL queries from the built-in SQL Cloud console.

You have to configure the Permissions for that.

Trusted Users

Are divided into two groups:

  1. Users who were granted SQL Cloud Write permission. These users get access to SQL Cloud Console and are able to write queries, and use Query Library and Query Builder. These queries can be shared through Dashboards using integrated gadgets for SQL Cloud. Click here to read about our gadgets.

  2. Users who were granted SQL Cloud Connect permission. These users get access to SQL Cloud Server and are able to connect queries to Bi tools through JDBC/ODATA protocols.
